Tim Cheffings

is a professional event rider who has enjoyed success at various levels within British Eventing including F.E.I. CCI**, Advanced, long listed for the young rider event team 2003. Represented the South West Junior team in 2001 and 2002.

Tim has been riding all his life and aims to become a top event rider, with his sights set on Badminton and Burghley. Most of Tim’s rides are homebred youngsters he has backed and brought on himself: De Beers Duchess, De Beers Detonator and Downe Right Rebel (his Mayhill stallion) to name a few.

Tim is known not only for his talent as a rider and trainer of young horses, but also for his perceptive and calm approach to his horses and their training. Tim’s equestrian upbringing and transition through the Pony Club has served to fuel his passion for horses and instilled ethics of dedication, commitment and an ambition to achieve.

Vanessa Cheffings

won up to Advanced medium affiliated dressage on the stallion De Beer. She has been backing and starting young horses for over 30 years and has also bred very successful young stock during this time.
